Everytime that someone becomes a volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters, the waiting list becomes shorter for a child. Looking back on his life, there are so many instances that Shawn wishes he would have had someone to look up to, or just talk to. That’s why he decided he wanted to volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters – he knew the difference he could make. Shawn was matched with Tyrus, a young man who didn’t have a father figure in his life, and it made a world of difference for both of them.
